Did treyvon martin deserve to die?

What you're hearing numerous people saying is BS. You need to do your own research instead of doing what all these other numerous people are doing, what most people do, just go along with what is popular, right or wrong. They are followers, not leaders. Many of them are very racist. Zimmerman went against the 9/11 dispatcher and followed Trayvon Martin anyway, which means he was the perpetrator. He should have never followed Trayvon. Of course Trayvon did not deserve to die. I have done my research. I am not a racist, nor am I a follower. I see the truth, and find out facts for myself. Zimmerman has been in trouble with the law before for assaulting a police officer, beating his ex girlfriend etc. He stalked Trayvon and gunned him down. Trayvon was an unarmed teen, just walking home, minding his own business. Zimmerman was armed, he was the perpetrator, and the killer. Had he not started sh!it with this teen, the teen would still be alive. If Trayvon even had time to defend himself (which is doubtful) he had every right to fight for his life, with everything he had, against this older ''armed'' man. (Zimmerman) Zimmerman is a liar, he proved this by lying to the judge. We can't believe ANYTHING he says.

Zimmerman stalked and attacked Martin but Martin proved to be not an easy target and he fought back, armed only with a deadly bag of skittles and an iced tea. Zimmerman go the worst of the fight he started so he shot an unarmed man. No Trayvon did not deserve to die, but Zimmerman does.

Who the heck are we to sit as judge an jury?

I often marvel at how some of the youngsters who have passed through my hands turned their lives around and are great fathers and in some cases even policemen. ( Probably the best kind because they understand how the criminal mind works!)

Don't worry folks they are not in UK or the USA!

Deserve to die is such a disgusting phrase which hides a lot of half truths behind it.

So in brief my answer would be "No. And certainly not like that'.

NOBODY deserves to die in cold blood, unarmed -- especially a 17-year-old.

His father's girlfriend has a condo in that neighborhood, so I guess it's just racists saying he didn't belong there.

Lots of people smoke dope. Cops, District Attorneys, doctors, lawyers, ordinary people. Do THEY deserve to die?

Most teen boys DO look like thugs these days. So should they be deserving of death too?

No, Trayvon Martin deserved to live out his life like everyone else.

George Zimmerman took that away from him.

Deserve to die? I think that's beyond my pay grade to decide. Bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people.

I do think he was headed to prison and possibly being killed at an early age. He was caught dealing drugs. He was under disciplinary action for attacking a school employee - which is why he was spending some time with dad and dad's girlfriend.

The photo so used by the media is Treyvon at age 12, not 17.

If Treyvon had attacked and been killed by a black man, we would never have heard a word of it.

Isn't it the place for your American court and jury to decide if he was shot by Zimmerman in self defence or not.? if they decide that Zimmerman had been attacked and his only choice was to shoot then Zimmerman will be cleared. Its not up to us to decide one or the other. as I don't have sight of any evidence. We know America is a society where guns are routinely carried, and can be so easy used.

anyone who dies in the commission of a violent crime pretty much asked for it. No one was there except the two who were involved, if zimmerman is telling the truth, the evidence speaks for itself, if zimmerman tried to cover up his over zealousness with a gun, then obviously no. No one can answer this definitively as no one witnessed the event.

I am not trying to be funny, but I think Clint Eastwood said in best in Unforgiven:

Deserve got's nothing to do with it.

If he did indeed attack George Zimmerman, then yes. But no one knows for sure.

Of course he didn't and don't be ridiculous.

It's not illegal to visit family.

-That's what he was doing in that neighbourhood.

It's not illegal to go to the store during intermission of an NBA game to buy candy for a relative.

-Those skittles he'd bought were for his step brother.

It's not illegal to talk to your girlfriend on a cellphone while walking down the street.

-That's what he was doing when Zimmerman chose to chase him.

It's not illegal to choose to turn your life around, either.

-That's what Martin was doing by going to stay with his father in the first place.

At his age, he could've chosen to stay with friends or move out on his own but didn't.

There's also the fact that he had no criminal record at all. None whatsoever.

-Zimmerman's the one with a record for domestic violence, resisting arrest & assaulting police.

There's also the fact Zimmerman's history of violence never stopped.

-Neighbours were complaining about him to police & the homeowner's association prior to the shooting:

-He'd been fired from a previous job due to his violent temper:

Plus the fact that the evidence contradicts Zimmerman's claims.

"While police were initially sympathetic to Zimmerman's plight during the Feb. 29 interview, officers became increasingly hostile as Zimmerman failed to answer questions in precise detail. He answered at least half of investigators' questions by saying he didn't know or couldn't remember how things happened the night he shot Martin."

Obviously Martin didn't deserve death at the hands of a deranged vigilante.

Anyone that thinks otherwise seriously needs their head examined.

I have heard numerous people say Treyvon martin did not belong in that neighborhood, and that he smoked dope. He was a drug dealer and had a criminal record and would have just ended up serving a life sentence in jail anyway. There are also pic's of him looking like a thug. My question is did he deserve that shot to the chest?
