Because it is money forcibly extracted from the general public under fear of imprisonment if you don't pay. She is no less talentless than the other oafs on BBC let alone the fat directors and their boy and girlfriends who also receive bloated salaries and expenses for doing nothing apart from promoting Labour.
Yup - with all the add-on's including first class hotel accommodation + limousine transportation etc....and 'all' coming from licence fee monies.

The show itself is just another 'copy-cat' version of whats already swamping our TV screens....same old - same old.
The BBC 'thought' TJ could make it work....he didn't - he just taking easy money and (BBC paid) flights to and from the US (where he has lived for the last 35+years) while the show is running.
At the end of the day - its just a drop in the ocean of 'more wasted' L/F monies (3.6 billion per year) among all the 'other' out-of-control payouts the BBC make....pension plans and massive wages - news presenters doing 'part time hours work' reading an auto que - getting wages equalling 90.000 per year for the regulars.
If ever an organisation needed a 'complete clear out'....the BBC is among the top 5 in this country.
Its about time the BBC was 'made' to function on its own....via advertising - 'they already receive'....paid advertising for product placements anyway.
She has an undoubted CV as an int'l star and gives the show a bit of class. Fact is, that's what you have to pay because she can charge what she wants just for turning up.
Compared to her sister and fellow nobody Shazza over on the other side, she's a bargain.
Its reported (link) that she has been paid ￡750,000 for turning round the Voice. I dont watch it but she must be on the panel ?
