If they do, I know one thing from my own business, this will only serve Unions who naturally will only put more money in their own pockets and of course would force Walmart to raise prices! Ontop of our economic crisis we're all having under Obama! But before I myself can see that happening, my friends and I would gladly work for Walmart, in any location, all hours they have tomorrow to pay for hell, many are suspecting for Obama's lifestyle for the next 4 years LOL but whatever, to pay even more on his sorry tax laws,
Look I would just like to say, unions and Obama oughta think about our own USA SOLDIERS in the middle east which, by the way, Obama himself is in no hurry to bring home. Our soldiers get no extra pay and their holidays are spent sleeping and eating and if they're fortunate to have a few extra hours for R and R, they definitely use it to talk to their family and friends stateside. HOW'S THAT FOR HONOR! And no thanks to Obama's big government entitlement programs, our military is being dangerously cut. Careers, lifelong benefits for our vets don't look good either. Anyway. Wake up America and this is just the tip of the iceberg of what's yet to come around for all in the next 3 years, that is, if we all live past the mayan 12/21/12 catastrophe prediction and I'm sure Obama wants it to happen so he can blame that one on Bush too lol.
a walmart job is not a keeper type of job. It is meant to be only a stepping stone entry or departure from the workforce type of job.
They like to hire those vets ,retirees and able handicapped people with medical benefits so they dont have to pay health insurances.
They manipulate the schedules so no one is really a fulltime employee so they do not have to pay benefits. Yes, like you everybody else has heard a walmart employee horror story
As the unions step in or attempt to level the playing field so that the employees can also gain a few benefits, the public looks on and hedges their bets.

I think the people who run Walmart would rather slit their own wrists than give in to unionization. Good God, if their workers had the right to negotiate job contracts - end of the world scenario for the income of the Walmart execs. Even if they kept using China's near-slave labor to manufacture most of the stuff they sell at Walmart, they'd really hate having to pay their US employees more or offer benefits or something. That sort of thing just isn't done these days!
Only if the help calls in sick on Black Friday and people don't shop there. They need to have the balls to ignore the manager's BS and sign the card. America could do without Walmart anyway's we would be better off.
Jobs like WalMart were 'step through' jobs to most Americans. They cared little about the wages and benefits as they only worked there until their prefered job became available elsewhere. Now that Walmart employees are finding few if any other jobs available elsewhere they are bound to want to improve conditions in a job they will be working at for years. What is wrong with that?
I don't think they will.It's a job that is considered unskilled so I think they would have no problem replacing any of there employee's who organized a strike/walk-out.And I hope they do not allow a union Look at what has happened to Hostess.Hay there battle cry could be "remember the Twinkie"
