I hope the CPS are a little more robust in deciding what constitutes reliable prosecution evidence before deciding whether to prosecute. I'd suggest that without overwhelming evidence, the prospect of conviction is zero.
I have seen and heard about several cases where a man got convicted for rape and other stuff and then he went to jail and then when he got out its like all of sudden more women all of a sudden decide they wanna come forward but its stupid if a guy who raped you then why wait to tell I mean don't sit there and wait because ladies that makes you look suspcious and a liar am sorry to say that but use your common sense I know it is dramatising but still you should never wait no matter what and stop making up stuff for attention please
But another thing is women got to realize is not all men are rapists cause believe it or not there are decent guys out there and sex is not just on a man mind but a woman mind as well and y'all can't say it isn't cause you would be lying no offense but also guys are decent and are not always constantly thinking of sex
Double jeopardy went once DNA testing became accurate, I'm sure we don't want murderers walking free when we still have evidence from 20 years or more just because it was insufficient at the time of their first trail, The US hates changing any laws and seems to think their constitution is still fit for the 21 century, anyhow allegations need evidence to stand up in court and many of these in Bill's case go back over 40 years, It seems since Savile that police & the CPS are too quick to bring cases they have no hope of proving.
I agree its incredible ! The police are looking at the new allegations. He certainly could be charged and tried on offences to different women. (he could be tried again for offences against the same women if they thought they had more evidence after Labour abolished our 600 year old Double Jeopardy law,in the lawrence case)
America still has their proud Double Jeopardy laws--we dont.

I am of the same generation as William Roache and what I really don't understand is that women of my age were just never allowed to be on our own with men. All men were viewed as potential rapists and all of society colluded to keep girls safe.
Sure, a determined paedophile could isolate vulnerable people just as Jimmy Saville did but it really wasn't the norm

now come on he cannot be re-arrested on these so called charges amd if he was the police would look like fools, and where were these women when he was on trail?
they are making these allegations because the police said that all allegations would be taken seriously and so they are trying to keep him off coronation street by getting him re- arrested.
There would be no chance of a conviction but another year would be taken out of his life.
The police must do something about these women....
