We wont be here to find out but what would the year 1 Million be like?

Its certainly something I have often pondered on. Its too far away for us to be able to comprehend the wonders (or perhap horrors) that will befall those in the far future. I think we can expect space travel to be an everyday event, but due to the very vast distances we wont ever go to the farthest stars. Even at the speed of light they will take a century or more to reach, and we cant travel faster than light.ever.

I think its obvious most disease will have been long wiped out.

I believe there will still be countries, but its hard to imagine what form they will take. Whatever its like I hope its vastly better than todays world. Pipe glowing dull this morning.

Possibly. If the earth is still here, man might be. But, I cannot say what form it will take. After taking and taking from the earth and not putting anything back, well...

The problem is, I am not sure I would want to be here. No animals, because man has wiped them out for the "joy of the hunt" or because "they were a threat." No water, as he can't keep from poluting it. The air won't be worth trying to salvage, so you will have to create it or wear masks, much like they are doing in China in some reports, only with tanks like you use to breathe underwater. May need a suit, too, since the ozone and all will be so thin that you could get sick from being out too long. The food will, most likely, but synthetic, as they will ahve poisoned the land so that it cannot produce and the people will be so many that you won't have land to grow things on.

But, this isn't counting the worst part. Look at how they interact today. No tolerance. They're afraid of their shadows. The TSA is afraid of toothpaste. The government is afraid of the people who elected it. Kids are stealing weapons and going to school to kill their classmates, over childish things. Blacks hate whites, and vice versa. Even a husband and wife cannot stand to be in the same room without having sex, and then it's rough sex or rape. My guess, within the next 100 years, if it makes it that long, the earth will have had at least one major war, perhaps nuclear, and man may be back to using clubs to bash each others brains in. As it is, the governments of the world are wanting to ban firearms, thinking that will remove crime, failing to see that man has fought man since they first found out they could kill each other.

Man wants perfection but fails to see that it isn't perfect. Even the Lemming is more intelligent than the human. There is a strong argument for why aliens have not visited earth, at least openly. They fear that man will move to the stars and spread it's virus of destruction. Even I fear man more than I do the shark, bear, wolf, or any other animal on earth.

Interesting question. The way the climate is changing I doubt that the earth - if still here - will be the same.

My first thought, however, was of the song from the past "In the year 2525". The lyrics went 'In the year 2525 if man is still alive - if woman can survive - they may find.......'. The lyrics say it all. Over time the dynamics will change dramatically, everything will be automated, no person is the same and there is no intelligence left. Really makes you think.

I believe that if man is still here a lot of what the song states will be true. I also highly doubt that man will still be here. Of course - I think the only animal that will survive is the cockroach (they have been around forever!

Doubt it. I'm pretty sure We'll have LONG Since Evolved Ourselves OUT of Existence- by Then. ;)

LOL I hope the 405 freeway will be done in California USA!

Nope, sure won't.
