It sounds to me that you like J,J, Abrams, and so I would recommend Alias or Almost Human. Alias has been finished for awhile now and can be found on Netflix, however Almost Human is on their first season and can be found on Hulu Plus. If those don't interest you then I would recommend The X-Files due to it being similar to Fringe.
Almost Human is very good, and was created by JH Wyman who was involved with Fringe, it's also produced by JJ Abrams. I also would say check out Grimm and Sleepy Hollow. Good entertainment!
I've watched both of those series and enjoyed them both. I also enjoyed Dollhouse. It is available on netflix. Check it out!
