Is anyone else depressed at the way london is today?

No, I'm fine with it thank you.

"will this mass immigration eventually make all british white people leave the country, so there's no more british people left ?"

Should we get all the immigrants to leave? Why stop at blacks and asians? Let's get rid of the Irish, the French, the Scottish, Poles, Germans, Americans, Spanish, Vikings, Romans, people from the Isle of Man (that Mark Cavendish really pisses me off) Everyone. then the pure English race will be free at last.

It is shocking and wrong but it's been going this way for a while now and there's not much the ordinary person can really do bout it the government i too blame as they are too damn soft and just let everyone in, our country is bursing at the seams, and soon will not be able to cope, not just London , all around our country. Already the white peoplle are leaving the capital and moving to the country, the white people are a minority and are not heard, they have no voice, it is sad....

I don't like what has happened to London during my lifetime, but I don't let it depress me. Whats the point? Will it change anything? No it wont, so why let it get you down and make you sad. I don't like London anymore, although I love its architecture and history, but I try and visit every now and then as it is kind of home for me, as I was born in a London borough and my husband was raised in Stepney. I don't like Manchester much, which is where you live, but I love the Trafford Centre, and have spent many happy hours in there when I used to come up and stay with my friend. We aren't in contact anymore so I haven't visited the city for about 7 years. It always seemed to rain in Manchester, and whenever we planned to do something, it always ended up being cancelled because of the weather. No wonder you don't like living there. I wouldn't either. London is ok for a short visit, but that's about all these days as far as I'm concerned. I moved away when I could, and I LOVE living in the countryside and not far from the sea. I come from a long line of Cornish fishermen, so the sea is in my blood too. My nearest cousins live in Cornwall, so I am a lot nearer to them now than when I was living near London. I am seeing my cousin in September, when I will be visiting Cornwall. That is a beautiful county, and has a lot of the gorgeous little fishing villages that you love. My cousin lives in St Ives, but we aren't meeting there. Have you ever visited Cornwall? If not you should as I think you would really love it. I love the Cornish accent too, and I can take it off quite well as we spent ALL our holidays in St Ives when I was a child, as Dad used to go and visit his brothers, and they often used to form a barbers shop choir outside the local pub. Boy could those men sing. It was amazing, and I have never forgotten it. A good Cornish voice is every bit as good as a welsh voice, and they are celts after all aren't they? Dad also used to play the harmonica, and Nan (Mums Mum) was a pianist/accordion player, and Grandad (Mums Dad) could sing really well, so all round we were quite a musical family, and even now I love anything to do with music and musicals. How can you be sad when there is good music playing?

As London is the capital you can't even imagine what it is like in other areas of England.

Don't worry you have a very privileged family overlooking you and once the baby comes the whole country will be lifted - for a while!

I lived in London in the 70's/80's best years of my life, moving back North in 82. Now I visit London and thank God I got out, it's a sh!t tip, the buildings are so neglected, the whole place seems out of control and pride.

Capital city's are always more multicultural.

I'm from the north so probably not the best to have any input.

But what I will say is that when I do visit I'm always happy to return to the friendly northerners (nothing to do with race)

I am White British, I used to live in a very predominantly White British area of Lancashire and it was not up to much. I now live in London and I much prefer it here. The schools are better, the employment prospects better and the people are generally more tolerant. So no, London does not depress me.

"It's a shame that you are not allowed to have an honest opinion on this issue without being seen as being racist. It is quite frightening being outnumbered in your own city / country by immigrants and not being allowed to have an opinion on it."

You are allowed to have whatever opinion you like. In fact, you have just expressed yours. Look - there it is.....

Of course, others will also express theirs. Problem?

It's a shame that you are not allowed to have an honest opinion on this issue without being seen as being racist. It is quite frightening being outnumbered in your own city / country by immigrants and not being allowed to have an opinion on it.

As Bob Dylan said the times are a changing but for good or bad ,the natives will rebel and the repercussions will not be nice .

with news reports that mass immigration has caused there to be only 45% white british left in the capital...i find that shocking..and i feel helpless about it ?

will london continue to have the remaining british people leave it until its just a complete immigrant city?

will this mass immigration eventually make all british white people leave the country, so there's no more british people left ?

is there a danger of this ?

no I'm 200 miles away from it - that doesn't depress me much!

Hey come up North! I don't hear people moaning about it here.

You don't have to be white to be British, but as a white British Londoner I love this city and the variety that makes it so unique. Like every city it has its problems, but overall it is a great place with lots to offer.

London has always been a shithole nothing new.

No I'm not but then again I don't live there, thank god.

You know what they say, "You've made your bed, now lie in it".

You're absolutely right.
