'Efficiency' equals more money for the rich at the expense of less jobs ,lower wages and crap corrupt services for everyone else.
I'm wondering about this, the Royal Mail has also operated in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland and in the mountainous regions of Wales where costs are high and profits are small, the UK is not just a flat country with motorways connecting one IKEA to the next, there has always been a very real fear that if the Royal Mail becomes privatised, the less profitable routes wil be sold off to private companies who will charge anything they like to deliver mail in the more dififcult areas.
The Royal Mail is not ran out of taxation - it is a profitable company that provides revenue to the treasury in terms of profits.
The tories want to give their cronies a bit of a sweetner - sell the Royal Mail at below market value and a few of their bessie mates make a few quid.
Kerching!!

I take it you have never heard of a small country called Norway then?
It is to the East of Britain, in Scandinavia.
They believe in public ownership and guess what they have sooooooo much money that they don't know what to spend it on.

That blows your argument then doesn't it.
Muppet!
It's upsetting to a lot of people because it doesn't seem fair but the fact is tiny government, capitalism and free enterprise works better than public ownership and monumental government.
It's also unpalatable to many but true that if we don't get the NHS and the huge Welfare liability off our public backs we are going down under a sea of deb't.
You can't keep spending money you don't have forever.
If the Royal Mail is privatised then what is left to privatise?
A conservative said that they would never run out of services and industries to privatise and what are these?
The UK is to become the ultimate capitalist country with nothing run by the public sector and paid for out of taxation.
The Labour party are no help however and now are the cannot do that and say they cannot scrap the vile bedroom tax or reverse the royal Mail privatisation, but they should just take it back and offer no compensation.
