The mariage between Caroline and Rick is a mockery, a frace of the deep and abiding love it should be. It is now based on a lie, and a spirit of covetousness by Rick. He wants the CEO possition badly and is willing to sacrifice his wife Caroline, his lover Maya, and all else for that goal. So your question about Caroline is interesting, in that Rick is a married man yet cheating. Ridge on the other hand is unmarried, and technically not cheating as he has not slept with Caroline. Caroline herself is married and is supposed to be faithful to her husband but one wonders, just how far is she supposed to allow Rick to go in his unfaithfulness, and adultry before she gets a divorce from him because of unfaithfulness. So I personally would like Rick and Maya to be caught in the act of adultry, so Caroline would not feel so guitly about acknowledging the truth about Rick, and begin to live her own Life. Then she would be free to fall in love and even marry Ridge, if that is the way the plot will play out. I doubt however very much that the powers that be will allow such a storyline to develop to fruition but it would be fun to watch, nonetheless!

Ridge, at least he has some kind of feelings for her while Rick just wants her as a steppingstone to keep his CEO position. Really the best thing to do, would be if she got divorced and found someone ANYONE other than a Forrester!

Really neither one of them, Rick is now just using her so that he can stay a CEO . And Ridge is way too old for her. She needs a new man in her life!
