Sandy was a very unusual storm with a completely non-standard path and it was nearly twice the size of other massive hurricanes. But my concern is; doesn't that raise any questions about what is really going on? The number of powerful hurricanes has increased by 20-30%, not to mention other natural disasters at other locations of the planet. So, is there a message to be found in all of this? Are we willing to open our eyes and see the truth or are we waiting for the next storm or catastrophe..and then...what? How long will we as a species continue our competition, promoting individualistic values and greed? Can we think a bit broader and see each other as one big friendly family, because mutual concern and responsibility seems to be the only reliable solution in any hardship we might encounter as individuals or as a mass.

Sandy, Katrina was bigger and caused more damage but Sandy hurt NY and NJ. that's the important thing. did you know they shut down Broadway and not going to run their little race. their amusement park fell into the ocean. the biggest mass transit system was shut down, most of us do not have a mass transit system. or tv shows all talking about it and preempting TV the rest of the country must stop until NY and NJ say we can get on with living.

I agree with double T. There is a huge pattern that nature is revealing to us here. It's easy to ignore with all the distractions we face here om Amercia with the media presidential elections and everyone just on their daily grind. Trying to keep those false numbers in the bank and all to pay for all that stuff we don't own. It's funny that there's some who want to continue and run that race and go forth with halloween. what is the point are we that blind to not get the message. It's time to take notice and stop this madness. there is no reason we should keep living a life of separation isolation materialistic competition. Nature simply will not allow it anymore as we can see.

I believe Hurricane Sandy is worse, it has knocked out New York which is the economic capital of USA. I also believe that it is the start of a series of bad events for New York or perhaps the whole USA, I hope not though.

Katrina, cause with Sandy there was just white people who did not loot,

whereas with Katrina, the majority of blacks was looting and victimizing people.
