I don't know enough about astrology to know if it is fake or genuine astrology in the sense that the author might sincerely believe it.
But astronomically then there is no reason at all for concern. Also in terms of calenders no reason either.
The Mayan calender date only has significance if you think that the Mayan gods created the world on 11 August 3114 BC, because that's the start date of their calender.
There is nothing special about their start date except for their own beliefs that that is the date their gods created the world, so similarly nothing special about this date either.
Even then - if you actually are a Mayan - and there are a few that still survive in S. America - it is only a matter of celebration for them. No apocalyptic predictions. Even have ancient Mayan references to dates in our future.

There's a nice Nasa video here, about "why the world didn't end yesterday" for 22/12/2012
12/21/12 has nothing to do with Y2k.
You are aware that an astrologer is not a scientist, right? He's one of those folks who claim that stars billions or trillions of miles from the Earth predetermined your life's events - events he's all to willing to share with you...for $9.95/minute you know, for "entertainment purposes only."
i doubt it i dont think nothing happened january 1 2000.... ill read on it
and this end of world bullshit is starting to get me uneasy too
the only reason why the mayan has had so much attention is because the Mayans dissapeared so unexplectably and without a trace, idk how but thats the reason why so much attention has been gathered around it. and also some minor previously overlooked events are now being connected to 12.21.12
Two points:
Guess what day the Poindexters chose to fire up the Large Hadron Collider?
Did you read about that Dutch guy finishing up his Ark?
Just sayin'.
You answered your own question ---- the Hadron Collider has already been used, so cross that off. Dumb people or little kids, I would guess
There is nothing to worry about until there is something to worry about. It's garbage. People in desperate need of attention do crap like that. FUGGATTABOUTIT
its a marketing ploy
Has anyone else seen this? http://www.upi.com/blog/2012/12/11/Astrologer-predicts-Y2K-like-disaster-on-121212/3321355241230/
Is this fake? I don't even know. I JUST came across it. All this end of the world crap is driving me crazy. I'm so tired of hearing about it. I'm already slightly paranoid about it, whether it makes me sound foolish or not.
