People were not sure what was going to happen next either. The news kept coming into every station you turned to that America was under attack. It showed president Bush's face when he gets the news and he just looks so angry, focused and determined and yet he's surrounded by young children whom he was doing a reading program for.
I couldn't imagine being in New York City at that time, because it looked like a war zone. I felt so bad for those people who had family and friends they lost or couldn't find, or those just running for their lives because of the massive dust clouds full of debris and shrapnel.
My feelings towards Muslims? I have no problem with them, they follow a faith and that's fine. The terrorists who did the 9/11 hijackings followed an ideology Radical Islamic Fundamentalism, followed an indoctrinated idea of martyrdom; these two are not the same thing at all.
I was affected that we let Middle Easterners come to this country, employments,education, welfare, business and they try to destroy our democracy and our way of life. While their relatives back home are too cowardly to stand up to the Taliban, Al QUAD, and other factions in their own country.
We give them humanitarian aid, weapons, and ad visors and they riot in the streets and burn the American flag and shout Anti-American slogans. Why are we over there helping them to fight the Taliban and Al QUAD if they are attacking us in our own country.Many of their grad students come to America, get a good education,learn about the latest technology and sciences and steal information and take it back to their country. The same goes for the Chinese.
My son was a teacher at the time. As a result of the terrorist attack, 34 of his students became orphans.
A classmate of mine was on the plane that went down in Pennsylvania.
I had recently been turned down for a position with one of the companies that was hit by the attack. God works in wondrous ways.
We are definitely the target of attacks by fundamentalist moslems.
As I've studied 9/11 I've become more aware that we are in a dictatorship. We all remember all those stories about former Soviets who thought they were free. It seems so laughable. I think most about everybody was affected- relatives dead, or no family harm. It was terrible incident.
We all were. Your bigotry indicates that you certainly were.
