The information you get is hardly ever useful, and usually already uncovered through other sources too, so it's not like it gets you a lot of great intelligence, to prevent future attacks.
It's why the Government spends about 50 times more on the NSA, and other SPY services, and only very little on torture(which is like I said, more to make the public feel better, getting back at the terrorists, rather than serving a real purpose).
If you torture terrorists with the sole purpose of inflicting pain just for your own pleasure, then no. However, if torture is done and is successful in obtaining information to where the bomb is going to hit a populated area, then I'm all for it. It depends.

Slavery, experiments, thousands upon thousands lynchings, dehumanizing. criminalizing, disenfranchising, and economically depriving for CENTURIES! Not all white people, I can't speak in absolutes but it's historically a significant amount of whites who participated. Now those in the past can't be tortured for their evil deeds because they're dead. But we do have the descendants of those who were evil and they have the same white supremacist racist mindset as they're devilish ancestors and they've been practicing their beliefs on random black people for the longest. Especially in the last 7 years. So should they be tortured? I agree with terrorists deserving torturist punishment but all terrorists should be included.

1. We signed a treaty saying we wouldn't. Now that we've broken our word, the US has irrevocably lost power and influence in the world.
2. Torture is pointless. It doesn't produce viable intelligence. It simply convinces the victim to say anything that the torturer wants to hear.

oh yes, morality is an abstraction based on nothing much, people who transgress and by that represent a danger to other's considered living need to be terrorised as a matter of basic decency. it would be disrespectful not to inflict copious amounts of pain upon terrorists.
