School teachers in the U.S want firearms now?

Difficult to convince Americans about the danger posed by having too many guns. They thrive on gun culture.Just look at their movies and TV programs -mostly about people killing each other.

At the end of the day none of us seriously gets upset when one Syrian shoots another to death, or for that matter when one American shoots another or a whole bunch of folks.

Live by the sword, die by the sword,

Is it me, or do the citizens of the United States love their lives a little bit too much?

Had a teacher or two had a firearm that terrible day at Newtown CT. there would NOT have been 20 children and 6 adults killed that day. The only thing that could have stopped Adam Lanza that day was someone with a firearm and the experience to use it, which any teacher could have had if the liberal gun control bigots would have allow them to be armed.

Your question of "What happens if a teacher is going through a midlife crisis and makes the wrong decision?" is nothing but male bovine feces! What happens if the cops you trust so much with firearms turns out to be another Christopher Dorner and starts shooting people?

Eighty million law abiding gun owner, owning three hundred million firearms didn't kill anyone last year. You want to trample the rights of all of these people, so you can make the whole country another Sandy Hook gun free zone.

If banning firearms will keep the criminals that kill people from having firearms, why don't we try banning Cocaine, heroin, and PCP to keep nut cases from using them?

True, Australia, death toll by firearms is significantly lower since their gun restrictions, but violent crime has went way also. That is like saying more people drown in the ocean than drowns in the Sahara desert. It make perfect sense that if there is no water no one is going to drown, but it doesn't make much sense to a man thirsting to death in the middle of the Sahara desert, he needs water. If it were not for firearms you wouldn't be here today posting your male bovine feces for all to read.

I have it seems been upsetting Americans for some weeks now on the gun control subject, the problem being high-lighted by the tragedy at Sandy Hook.

My astonishment is how many want even machine guns as they believe they may have to fight their own government.Truly a recipe for civil war?

It does seem to suggest many just don't trust the civilian services like their police.

The 2nd amendment in 1776 was referring to a civilian militia that could pick up their guns in time of war (a bit like Switzerland) so it was saying the peoples right to bear arms shall not be infringed (or what ever wording it was)

Now America has had its full time army for many years and does not need a civilian militia, yet this old law is still used to allow criminals to own guns.

In Britain its impossible to get a licence for "self protection" almost impossible to get a licence at all.

Can you blame them?

The kids are dangerous enough but now we have criminals running amok in the school buildings with guns blazing and evil ripping through their hearts.

I don't blame them myself.

I do believe that British nations like Australia, Canada, Scotland, Wales and England do have a good record concerning gun deaths but ... our laws here in Canada have been in place for more than a hundred years concerning the guns we are permitted to bear. The same for Australia, and our other British cousins. The culture of a non gun society is very old amongst us.

In the states it's a different story and changing the laws on handguns and their rights to bear arms are not going to be changed until the final return of the Christ Jesus.

Because just as sure as fat dogs fart the American citizens are not going to give up their constitutional right to bear arms.

They simply won't allow it.

Makes no difference anyway esp when N Korea nuke them

Russia wont intervene, but yeah China may since they bought America

Well since we're in a majority democracy I guess I'll say that they should be allowed only to be used on that crazy kid that is trying to kill everybody.

visit some classrooms and see how safe you feel.

Is it me, or do the citizens of the United States love their guns a little bit too much?

I think people need to realize that more firearms is the cause of more deaths. What happens if a teacher is going through a midlife crisis and makes the wrong decision? Or a mentally unbalanced student gets a hold of their gun? Look at Australia, their gun restrictions are higher and the death toll by firearms is significantly lower.

What's your opinion on this?
