In your opinion, should the Mccann case be re- opened?

If fresh evidence comes to light then yes it should be reopened but there seems to be little point in wasting police time by constantly going over old ground especially when the parents refused to cooperate with the original investigation but were keener to turn their loss into a money making opportunity.

News International have consistently backed the McCanns' campaign (wrongly, in my opinion) and according to the Levenson Enquiry "bullied" the Government into funding Operation Grange, the Scotland Yard review of evidence pertaining to this case. I personally believe that the media frenzy seroiusly hindered the police investigation whilst at the same time enabling the McCanns to become very rich celebrities. Monies from the fund have not been used exclusively for charitable purposes; much has been spent on personal and legal expenses.

No it should not unless their is evidence to say what happened to the girl. It was Kate McConn who said that Madeleine had been abducted and it was her that tampered with the shuttered window she said that the girl had been taken out of. Why when the bloody door was unlocked?

I hope that someone coMes up with the evidence to convict this duplicitous pair. Those dogs did not lie when they smelt death in the apartment.

In the smoke and mirror world of the McConns the truth has been virtually impossible to determine!

Well said Stacey as well. My sentiments exactly.

how can it be reopened when the parents refuse to answer basic questions about the case

The M c Con's are trying to pull the wool over every bodies eyes , they have earned a fortune from her disappearance

put them on the jeremy kyle show

no i dont think it should unless new and decent evidence comes up - i dont mean the sort we are hearing now. otherwise its wasting money going over the same evidence that will lead to the the same conclusion - ie she's missing and no-one knows where she is/what happened

If new ,and valid , information has been found then yes .

yes. It should never have been closed

And what are your views on both the media and pr industries involvment in the case? Do you think they have helped or hindered the families personal campaign?

I would appreciate honest but sensitive answers, as they will be used as research as part of my media assignment. Thanks in advance! :)
