Katrina killed 1200 , correct ?
Apparently they don't have TVs and radios to warn them a week in advance that a hurricane is coming. I wonder what they did with the ones that were looted during the last hurricane. People who don't have enough brains to evacuate should not expect someone to come and risk their lives to rescue them...
A great many lessons were learned the hard way when Hurricane Camille hit; Katrina brutally reinforced / reminded us of those tough lessons with epic death toll numbers---of PEOPLE, of ALL races.
We've come to learn quite a bit from both these legendary storms:
a) Issac is currently a TROPICAL STORM--quite likely hitting Louisiana coastal land as a WEAK Category 1 storm. Wind speed projections NOW contend Issac will pack 76 to 87 mph winds--and sharply disorganize upon land contact; still a force to be reckoned with cautiously---but Issac won't be an equal to Katrina.
b)And now, with the new discovery of that "wedge" of cool, dry air mass "splitting" Tropical Storm Issac, doubts hold THIS storm measures anywhere near Camille or Katrina damage OR death toll numbers.
c) Issac is expected to be Louisiana's "shakedown cruise"; to see how well the lower level areas of the state really have prepped up for a major hurricane---literally seven years to the day Katrina blew into town.
d) Katrina killed just over 3,000 people; not specifically sure how many from that death toll were black.
Hurricanes do not distinguish against colours they do not decide that we are going to strike a country or a city because there is a lot of Blacks or white living there. When Mother nature rained down her powers, race, creed, religious beliefs are not taken into consideration, think along those lines and then questions like that will not be necessary.
that's pretty messed up. No difference in white or black. What happened in new orleans was horrible, and for a person who lives 45 mins away from there, hopes nuthing ever happens like that again. And by the way Karma's a B**ch
I saw several stories where the number killed in Katina was listed as 1,800. But this was all races and on the whole gulf coast.
Why you asking about blacks?
Well no one knows how many blacks will die. No one knows how many people will die. But i hope no one dies.
A high number because blacks do not have cars nor money.
Lets hope no one does!
