A cattle prod will stop a two thousand pound bull, maybe it will stop a pit bull.
There is a dog whistle that might help from a distance to distract them.
When they attack, they seem to feel no pain. I beat one on the head with a 2x4 and it would not let go of the throat of my dog.
Get your own pitbull and bring it with you on the walks to protect you.
Pepper spray or a stun gun. And, USE it.
GET A LION AS A PET.
I live in a neighboorhood where some of my neighbors routinely keep their 3 pitbulls unleashed and free to roam. One of my other neighbors was attacked by a couple of pitbulls while he was out walking completely unprovoked. I am not positive if the unleashed animals are the same but I truly fear for the safety of my girlfriend and I when we pass the neighbors house with the dogs. What are the steps I can take to prevent the dogs from attacking and if they do, how can I protect myself and my girlfriend. I've started carrying a pocket knife with me on our walks but I'm kind of doubting I'd be able to hold off 2 huge strong dogs with a little knife. What can I do? I'm terrified of these dogs. Also, please no answers about how its the owners fault and not the dogs. I'm tired of hearing that and I'm only interested in hearing about practical ways I can protect myself and the ones I love from danger.
