Did George Zimmerman ever state that he saw a black person ?

Yes Zimmerman clearly stated that he thought the person (Trayvon) was Black. It is unknown whether this is because Zimmerman really wasn't sure or if he had seen Trayvon's face or hands. This also does not indicate anything about Zimmerman's feelings about Black people.

And anyways, the charge against Zimmerman is 2nd degree murder, not "race hate crime".

Personally, the court is wasting its time if it intends to prove or disprove that Zimmerman's actions against Trayvon were racially motivated or not. I'd much rather they investigate the actions - or rather the INaction - of the police and city prosecutor. To me, what they did was far worse than what Zimmerman did to Trayvon.

Well if trayvon did jump (IDK) GZ that doesnt define THAT HE SAW HIS FACE< CALLED THE POLICE AND WHEN ASKED THE RACE BY DISPATH HE SAID HE WAS BLACK.( this is facts to answer your question) Its hard to prove but this is called racial profiling. When i walk down the street and a white lady judges me because i am in a diff neighborhood, i have a hoodie on, and i am black OH HE MUST BE DOING SOMETHING WRONG. YEAH im pretty sure you get the point. I dont ever hear about a black or hispanic person profiling a non-minority because he was walking down the street with a hoodie on in a different neighborhood.

When the police dispatcher asked Z whether the person was White, Hispanic, or Black, he said "he looks Black." True, it was dark and he probably was not sure.

Of course, by the time he shot Martin, he probably knew that he was Black, because they were wrestling on the ground.

I do not think Zimmerman will be convicted of a hate crime, even if he is convicted of murder or manslaughter. There doesn't seem to be any racial motivation.

On the 911 call, the operator asked what race he was and Zimmerman said he looked black. That was the first time he ever mentioned race in the call

Haven't we tried this case enough? let the court decide what is right/ I have no idea where they can find 12 people that hasn't heard about it.

Eff you bro, eff you

If Martin was in the dark and in the rain and had a hoody on and jumped GZ from behind he can always say he didn't know what race Martin was until he was shot.

Unless the court can prove otherwise it can't be won as a race hate crime.
