That's the eternal challenge people have when trying to describe colors to blind people who have never had sight or lost it at a very young age and don't remember. I think I read once that sometimes they compare it to how the color makes you feel. So yellow might be described as warm and happy.

Like vivid butter, the noon day sun on a clear day. Fields of wheat before the harvest. Rape seed flowers. Howelse can you describe it without using the word yellow.
The beautiful colour that always reminds me of the first flower of spring....when everything starts to bloom...and wake up...even I come alive....
