As a family history buff I have great dealings with the Census.Every 10 years since 1841 (except 1941) The last one was 2011,where they are getting the data from. The next one will be 2021. The head of household at one time was always,of course the husband. Nowadays you designate who you decide for your self who will fill it in as head. The head is important as each family member has to put their relationship to the head. The 1911 ones were very interesting for the first time it showed the real writing of the head. So you could see how ones own GrandFather wrote. Cool.

The census only happens in years that end in zero: 1990, 2000, 2010, 2020 for example.
census come out every decade you shouldn't get a census in 2011 its a prank.
