The year 2000 was definitely the best year. It was the start of the new century. Y2K didn't happen. America was not in any economic crisis, nor was it in any wars. The World Trade Center was still standing. Bush was just getting to be president (or president elect really), so nothing was f**ked up yet. America was definitely much more peaceful at that time! Therefore, 2000 would be the winner (in my opinion at least)
