The so-called 9/11 Truth Movement, such as it still is I have always suspected has a lot less to do with the actual events of that day and a lot more to do with general distrust of government. Really 9/11 is just an excuse to lash out at what believers perceive as the evils of government and in particular of the Bush administration. The anti-war movement comes into play here as well. The NWO paranoids and anti-Semitic morons are their own breed and should be treated separately.
I admit have some sympathy with the political aspect and possible goals for the Truth Movement. There are genuine concerns about the political processes and decisions related to 9/11; what failed that allowed it to happen, how 9/11 was used to justify dubious wars and the need to review the political processes which were involved.
However, I have no respect for people who continue to support blatantly false and even ridiculous claims about the technical aspects of what happened that day. People who are intelligent enough to put words together to form several meaningful sentences should know that, for example, claims for controlled demolition at the WTC are not only false but just plain silly. Ditto with "no plane hit the Pentagon" and "Flight 93 was shot down" claims. So deliberately making claims which they should know to be false makes these folks liars and gives them and their movement no credibility whatsoever. Simple.
The technical details can be summarized as:
1. There was no CD at WTC. The towers succumbed to natural collapse
2. It was that plane at pentagon
3. No shoot down at Shanksville.
These are all well established facts of similar credibility to evolution v creationism.
The big puzzlement for me has been the question "Why do people with a possibly genuine concern about the political decision processes tie those concerns to patently dishonest and even absurd technical claims?"
Surely that is fatal to any hope of getting a review of political processes?
Most politicians in my experience would see the patently false claims and use that as the easy way out to do nothing about the painful task of political process review. "If the technical claims are lies why should we be concerned about the political claims - those are probably false also."
Truthers do themselves a disservice by wrapping up all that conspiracy nonsense into what are otherwise perfectly sound and rational concerns. This of course explains why the Truthers have, in 11 years accomplished absolutely nothing and the movement continues in steady and constant decline.
Good old-fashioned activism and skepticism of government is a good thing and absolutely necessary. What isn't necessary and indeed is counter-productive is to wrap it up in all of this 9/11 Conspiracy nonsense. That is just a recipe for not being taken seriously. But then maybe that is the idea. It allows the CT believer to always remain on the outside and maybe that is exactly what they want. It isn't enough to just distrust the government. They must concoct this fantasy world in which the government has done this evil and the Truther is one of the chosen few who know the real truth and knowing that truth they are now a champion, a warrior for justice and righteousness and must spread the word to the unwashed masses of non-believing brainwashed sheeple.

Why should a mass islamic apology be demanded? Did the entire religion hijack the plane? Wow, i never knew 2 billion people could fit in one plane! The terrorists who did it are dead. They can't apologise anymore.
And to all the people who think that Islam is a terrorist religion, i don't see 2 billion people going around suicide bombing everywhere. Last time you saw a muslim, did they attempt to murder you or strap a suicide bomb vest to you? No, they didn't.

It's been many years since 9/11 happened and we are left with hundreds if not thousands of unanswered questions about the 9/11 attacks. A transparently fraudulent 9/11 commision report which purposely failed to even mention the collapse of WTC 7. And a host of ridiculous so-called 'debunking' websites, forms and other literature, which have done absolutely nothing to debunk anything other than cleverly selected 'strawman' arguments and have failed to stem the constant flow of new 9/11 information wich researchers have been uncovering and bringing out to the public.
Phillip Zelikow wrote the conclusions to the report before the investigation ever began. And even then, in areas which did not support the official story were neither mentioned nor investigated by the 9/11 commission. Six out ten members of the 9/11 Commission have discussed on record how the government lied about the official story. And 70% of the questions posed by the families of the victims were never answered or officially investigated.
The Bush administration stalled investigations into 9/11 for over 400 days. In January, 2002 President Bush personally asked Senate majority leader Tom Daschle to limit the Congressional investigation into the events of 9/11. The Bush administration only formed the 9/11 commission after being prodded by the victim's families who lobbied Congress for over a year to open the investigations. They even attempted to appoint Henry Kissinger, a known cover-up mastermind, as head commissioner. He resigned after family members of the victims asked him sensitive questions about his connections to the Carlyle group and the Bin Laden family.
At 8:46 in the morning of September 11, Flight 11 flew directly into Marsh & McLennan Secure Computer Room in the North Tower, right below the floor on which Cantor Fitzgerald was situated. Cantor Fitzgerald was the largest security dealer in the U.S. Shortly after that, a massive explosion went off, just under the FBI offices in the North Tower on the 23rd floor. Fires were reported on the 22nd floor at 8:47. There were also explosions and subsequent fires reported at Garban-Intercapital on the 25th floor and in the basement of Tower One as well. Shortly thereafter, at 9:03, Flight 175 hit the South Tower, right below the floor on which Eurobrokers were situated. In all 3 cases, the explosive fiery destruction consumed the offices and the several floors above, destroying files and trapping victims inside. The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) had opened investigations into the 'Project Hammer' fund and their offices had been moved to a recently 'rennovated' outer 'E' Ring of the Pentagon which was directly hit by Flight 77. Also destroyed were Pentagon's financial offices who had been busy trying to find the missing $2.3 trillion in defense spending. The only backup of this data was in WTC 7.
WTC 6 was destroyed by an explosion that took place before either tower fell. The secondary explosion took out a portion of the building which just happened to include the El Dorado Task Force offices. The El Dorado Task Force was an inter-agency money-laundering watchdog group, responsible for coordinating all major money-laundering investigations in the U.S. In the immediate aftermath of September 11, these groups would be redirected to investigate terrorist financing.
On September 14, the Securities and Exchange Commission declared a national emergency and for the first time in U.S. history, invoked its emergency powers under the Securities Exchange Act, Section 12(k) and eased regulatory restrictions for clearing and selling security trades for the next 15 days. These changes would have allowed the estimated $240 billion in covert government securities to be cleared upon maturity, without the standard regulatory controls around the identification of ownership. The towers need to be demolished to create a big enough mess that the illicit activities taking place behind the scenes that morning could be hidden in the confusion of that day.
But where did this $240 billion come from? In September 1991, shortly after the end of the Cold War, a cabal of elite bankers and intelligence spooks, led by George H.W. Bush, financed a (USD)$240 billion cover-up operations war chest through the purchase of 10-year securities that, as it happened, was scheduled to become due on September 12, 2001. 'Project Hammer' was undoubtedly used for a wide variety of illicit intelligence operations, but mainly was used to finance a covert economic operation against the collapsing Soviet Union, whereby unknown Western investors bought much of the Soviet industry with a focus on oil and gas, crashing the Russian economy, looting its Central Bank, orchestrating what became known as the "Great Ruble Scam", and a wide variety of other clandestine state-assisted operations, designed to thoroughly prevent Russia from ever contesting the U.S. as a world superpower. It was a spectacular investment for all, at least until money-laundering investigations began tracing all the money or when the 10-year deadline came up and the Securities began doing the routine process of authenticity and ownership checks. Evidence shows that several federal and private investigations had already stumbled upon the Hammer Fund and were compiling the evidence on it up until the 9/11 attacks.
So what happened? Essentially, a critical mass of brokers from the major corporate security brokerages in the Twin Towers had to be eliminated to create chaos in the government securities market. A situation need to be created where the US$240 billion of covert securities could be electronically cleared without anyone asking questions.
The recovered hard drives from the World Trade Center give us some intriguing clues. Richard Grove (of SilverStream software) discovered that SilverStream was overbilling Marsh to the tune of US$7 million extra for fictitious and unneeded hardware. He also became aware of an exploitable flaw in the accounting software that had been sold to a variety of Marsh's clients and partners. When he brought this up to his superiors at SilverStream and others at Marsh, he was told to keep quiet and not worry about it. But other friends of his at Marsh were also getting concerned and began documenting what was going on and raising concerns within the company. At last, they were finally granted a hearing with one of Marsh's high-ranking executives who were told to bring all their evidence to a hearing, scheduled for 8:30 am on September 11, 2001 on the 93rd floor. The high-ranking member of Marsh, which Grove did not name, would participate in the teleconference from the safety of his home. All of Marsh's employees and potential whistleblowers ― Gary Lasko, Kathryn Lee, Ken Rice, Richard Breuhardt, and John Ueltzhoeffer ― would die in the meeting in the North Tower with all their evidence when American Airlines Flight 11 would impact that very section of the building. Richard Grove got stuck in traffic that morning and didn't make it.
Combined with the fact that 6 corporations control 90% of the media, and CIA operations like Mockingbird admit to taking over and subverting our U.S. media, we can understand how such a big lie could have been kept from the American public for so long. But if you stop and take the time to do your research. You'll find all the evidence is there, hidden beneath a mountain of disinformation and lies.
