- Great in my opinion. A different approach to Harem animes. Relies heavily on fan service in the beginning, and is quite generic. But plot line arcs beautifully near the climax. You’ll be surprised what this Harem anime has in store for you.
Toradora! (Romance/Comedy/High School):
- Very cute and heartwarming. Sweet ending. Lovable characters. I guarantee you will say "awww" at least once, while watching this. Well rounded anime.
Elfen Lied (Seinen/Psychological/Mature Theme/Superpowers):
- Very controversial anime. Some people love it, others hate it. Great story and plot line. Good animation. Great character development. If you can get past the first episode, you’ll definitely love this anime. Amazing theme use of humanity and hope. Contains matures themes, like: mild nudity (not full nudity) and blood.

- Absolutely amazing story! Keeps you on the edge of your seat every episode. Brain will be on maximum power trying to think about every episode. Great animation. Great characters, and development. Amazing twists in stories you would not expect. Great combination of comedy and romance, both aren't cliche at all. The comedy will actually make you chuckle, and the romance is quite deep. Excellent emotional triggers, that’ll make you feel attached to the anime. Definitely a MUST watch.
Btoom! (Mature Theme/Survival/Action/Romance/Suspense/T...
- Great story. Action themed anime, keeps you interested every episode. Contains mature themes, like: blood. Decent fight scenes, will make you think about every action the main character takes.
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (Comedy/Romance/Harem/High School):
- Heartwarming and fun anime about friendship. Plot development is quite generic though, but they make up for it with the friendship theme. Interesting story line that’ll keep you entertained. Has some fan service, but not as heavy as other Harem animes.
Ano Natsu de Matteru (Drama/Romance/High School/Aliens):
- Good storyline. Slow story development, but not terribly slow. Ending is amazing, will stay in your head for some time. Extremely emotional, if you have a soft heart like me. Has a unique love pentagon, but is solved throughout the story.
Fate/Zero (Fantasy/Action/Magic/Romance/Drama/Acti...
- Great story, which is very interesting. Revolves around mythology from around the world, and some fantasy. Very good animation: clean and crisp. You get attached to some characters. Action packed. Fight scenes are amazing, beautifully designed. Ending is amazing, not rushed.

Attack on Titan- is very good a lot of action but really worth it.
Pantie and Stock with Garter belt- is good and funny but very adult. like TV MA adult. There is a lot of of effing going around.
Tenchi Muyo- is good but getting to be old school now, harem type with space aliens!
Vandread- is great. Good comedy with romance. A lot boy vs girl with lots of mecha and outer space travel. It's hilarious.
Majin Tantei Nōgami Neuro- a good mystery series was a lot of dark humor. Main character is a demon detective and he forces a high school girl into working for him.
Sword art online- has romance and action. I haven't personally seen it but my boyfriend raves about it.
Ergo Proxy- rather serious and very dark but one of those hidden gems. There is romance but it's not over flowing it more drama, action, and mystery. It a post-apocalyptic setting.
Ruroni Kenshin- a classic all around. Action, comedy, and romance that equals each other out perfectly.
Trigun- another old school classic, funny as hell and action packed set on desert planet with a wild west type theme. There are some notes of romance.
Ranma 1/2- Yet again old school but funny and flowing with action and romance. Let's just say the main character has a special condition that doesn't mix well with cold water. This is also a harem series.
