Under law the person who has the WEAPON is the AGGRESSOR. Yes, Trayvon had a right to defend himself but he ran away. His dress, his nationality, whatever else doesn't really matter what matters is an ARMED MAN SHOT and KILLED an UNARMED TEENAGER. It may or may not be a racial issue (who knows at this point but the media are making it into one) I don't think Trayvon attacked Zimmerman either from what's been reported, Zimmerman followed/pursued Travyon when he was told to NOT do so.
NO NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH person should have a GUN, it's ridiculous they're NOT COPS, let alone SOMEONE with a RECORD of ASSAULT against a POLICE OFFICER. Neighborhood watch is supposed to be a GROUP of people at different posts of the neighborhood with radios. Zimmerman had a radio (probably because they knew he had a gun) he should have called for help if was suspicious.
He didn't, he decided to be a moron and do what he wanted and follow the kid (although it's seemingly more and more like stalking the kid to me) I think it was PREMEDITATED MURDER, it doesn't matter if Trayvon did attack Zimmerman (there was no evidence of attempted choking or strangulation, no immediate threat of life endangering injury to Zimmerman when they treated his "injuries") this would NOT WARRANT DEADLY FORCE of a WEAPON. Either way Trayvon Martin's parents should have a WRONGFUL DEATH SUIT against Zimmerman. It's frustrating and it's sad.
Zimmermann was attacked. Treyvon is the aggressor.
yes but he didn't have a gun
In this case Zimmermann was the aggressor, He was told not to prosue and he did and when Trevon ran he continue to track him down. Did Trevon have a right to defend himself under Florida Law? Zimmermann was told by 911 not to follow him and in the call there was no mention of him doing anything wrong, other than walking through the complex.....
