If this is about the best way to portray a character overreacting, perhaps have him/her rant about the sexism in a certain piece of work the teacher is talking about or about the racism or animal cruelty or whatever. If the student then gets even more upset when the teacher keeps arguing, have the student walk out of the room or try to start a boycott of the teacher and try to get the rest of the class to leave with her.
