I give thumbs down when someone gives a fair answer but then calls everyone answering or agreeing with them names.Some of these questions are only put up to harass the answerer,even when you agree with them.They deserve the thumbs down.

It happens to me as well. I could tell you what I think of most of the people who populate this section of Yahoo Answers, but my answer would probably be reported and deleted

Because people feel the anonymity they think the internet grants them gives them the right to be an a**hole.

A lot of the time, I'll form perfectly pragmatical, PC comments on non-controversial issues and then I'll get thumbs downs and typically some responses from uneducated fools decrying the comment I made. Sometimes, it really makes me mad..
