At the conclusion of WWII, the search for Adolph Hitler was a world wide event. The Russians refused to believe that Hitler committed suicide. And, understandably, there was mass confusion.

I'm betting it was Operation Vengeance, the hunt for Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto. The planner of the Pearl Harbor attack. He was hunted down and shot down on April 18, 1943. I'm sure it was as big as the hunt for Bin Laden.

Lorie v ..... Quite a good list, but you forget the most famous manhunt of all, which books, films and songs have since covered.

"Bonnie and Clyde"

Can't help but to love"lorie v"

But my vote goes to Hitler.

I know the hunt for Bin Laden was beyond monstrously huge, but wasn't the hunt for John Wilkes Booth was also huge? Am I missing any other significant manhunts? What was the biggest manhunt in history?
