What is the best thing about Thatcher's death?

They should cremate her and then burn her ashes, just to make sure.

It has reminded people and taught younger generations what an nasty woman she was.

Including :

Taxing the poor / pool tax which lead to riots.

Calling Nelson Mandela a terrorist.

Reduced the power of the unions and therefore workers rights

Stopped free milk for school kids , again this hurt the poor most

Terrorised Catholics in northern Ireland, leading to 10 people starving themselves to death in protest.

Starting war over the Falklands to boost her ratings at home in time for election .

Closing down the mines leading to mass unemployment.

Allowing the Sus law where people, often minorities, could be stopped, searched, arrested and held in custody for no reason. Confessions were often then 'coaxed' from the unfortunate individuals.

After mass rioting as a results of the poverty and hardship caused by her policies she told the unemployed to get "on yer bike" to look for work, this shows the same indifference to their plight as Marie Antoinette's "let them eat cake" quote.

Nothing. There really is no best thing about her death.

Regardless of one's feelings towards her concerning how she ran things as PM, she hasn't been Prime Minister for almost a quarter of a century. That's been handled by a variety of people since then who have (depending on who you ask) either did a good job of it or shagged it up good and proper.

So who cares? It's not like she was some mythical power behind the throne all these years. She stepped down in 1990 and hasn't been in any political office since.

@additional - No, I'm not saying that. I'm just wondering why get our panties in a twist over something that was 23 years ago? Sure she may or may not have @#$%ed things up royally, but what makes more sense. Being angry at a woman who did the damage 23+ years ago? Or being angry at the greasy little c--kstains who have been in office for the past 23 years and haven't done a @#$%ing thing to fix the damage? In some cases even making it worse.

In an almost literal sense you're beating a dead horse.

There is no 'best thing' about anyone's death. Although this has highlighted how ignorant and disrespectful some people can be. There seems to be a great deal of parochial thinking in this country. I'm not pro or anti Thatcher, but I think she would have been amused at the thought of people celebrating her death or protesting about her funeral. She would have expected nothing less, so in a way it is good to see people playing up to that. I don't think they realise they're doing that though.

It flushed out and exposed all the people who had a dysfunctional upbringing with such poor parenting that they were not taught respect and dignity for the dead.

Irrespective of party politics, personal feelings, or dislike there is no excuse for bad manners, disrespect or attacks on those who have passed away

Nothing a small cog in a massive machine,it rolls on relentlessly.

there is nothing good about it, however much you despised her policies, she had been out of power for over 20 years. Many of her policies are still active and many of them would have occurred in any case.

the conservative right and Tony Blair have lost their Icon and inspiration.

And she will never be back ,but they should destroy her ashes just to make sure.

The parties..

There is nothing good about it.

She goes to heaven for sure.

You see until now you remember her. She is beloved.

They should cremate her and then burn her ashes, just to make sure.

That she had a religious funeral.
