Tragedy is where a good person does not get what they deserve. Or just a really bad outcome.
In the House of Mirth by Edith Wharton Lilt Bart meets a sad end. King Lear and his daughter meet a very bad end in Shakespeare's play King Lear, as does Othello in Othello. Poor old Romeo and Juliet do not live happily after. Hamlet too met a nasty end. The list goes on and on google tragedy. Good luck.
