The top 3 are the main offenders in the HOUSING BUBBLE of 2008. I would go with a local credit union, there are less fees, more personal hands on help, you support the local business. Wells Fargo is obnoxious so is Bank of America, U.S. Bank I haven't heard good things about either. Chase isn't horrible, but considering it use to be Washington Mutual they're not real effecient, it depends on the branch really.
Do NOT go with KeyBank either, they are horrible, unprofessional, ineffecient and deceptive. They seem to have a problem with "DISCLOSING" things...O_O
BoA: -10
Wells Fargo: 2.5
Chase: 1
Citibank: 1

PNC Bank: -5
Wells Fargo gets a slightly higher score because they actually adjusted my mortgage...but only after being threatened by the federal government to do so. They refused to do anything for us for years, despite the federal government giving them billions of dollars to help homeowners like us.
BoA, meanwhile, isn't just evil...they're the 21st century incarnation of the mustachioed evil banker from the old silent films who went around tying young heroines to rail road tracks. No, scratch that, BoA has done stuff that even an imaginary villain from the early 20th century would consider "too despicable." Seriously, google BOA and Mortgage, and then ask yourself how is it no one has been thrown in prison for this?
I had a retirement account with PNC. I wanted to move the money from that account to another account to consolidate. PNC REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY MONEY. According to them, I had to go to my former employer and get their permission...TO GET MY MONEY. My former employer was not amused by PNC's shenanigans. It took me a month to get my money out of that account. MY MONEY!
