Phyliss overheard Sharon talking to "Cassie" that she switched the results and that Summer was really Nick's. Phyliss raced to the MS gala (Nikki was hosting) and Sharon hunted her down on the stairs, Phyliss called Jack and Sharon reached to grab the phone but Phyliss ended up tumbling down 5-6 stairs and bouncing her head off the cement floor. Phyliss was unconcious and taken to the hospital (Nick found her), she was unconcious for a bit but woke up briefly and nearly told Nick/Jack what happened but she had a hemmorage and went into a coma. The doctors confirmed she needed extensive treatment more then they could provide, Daniel showed up and made the decision to have Phyliss transported to a special clinic in Georgia that specializes in coma patients. Phyliss has been in a coma ever since, but has since shown signs of waking up ever so slowly.
I just did some research on people in coma's- 90% of the recovery for people in coma's are made between 9-12 months, after that if a person does not wake up it usually means they will spend the rest of their life in a vegatative state. Phyliss went into a coma 7 months ago, now if the writers want to make this realistic then we should be seeing Phyliss out of her coma within the next 2-5 months, so anywhere from May to July.

Phyllis was horrified to overhear Sharon at Cassie's grave telling Cassie that Nick would hate her if he ever found out that she had changed the paternity test to show that Summer was not his. Phyllis' cell phone rang, Sharon realized that she had been caught. Phyllis told Sharon that she was going to the MS gala to tell Nick. Sharon followed Phyllis and caught up to her in the stairwell where they stood on the landing arguing. Phyllis yelled, "Get out of my way, you demented *****," and called Jack, who was waiting for her there with a ring, intending to propose. While grappling with Sharon for her phone, Phyllis fell down the flight of stairs. Sharon found a pulse and spilled her purse trying to get to her phone to call for help. Nick and Avery came into stairwell and kissed on the landing while Sharon snuck out the door at the bottom of the stairs.

Back when her and Sharon gotten into an argument in the stairwell over the secret Sharon was keeping and Phyllis found out what it was Phyllis fell down the stairs and is now in a coma and is place in another coma institution in Georgia to be near Daniel.
And is still there.
Now Michelle Stafford who plays her is gone dues to a YouTube show she was doing.
I knew all along this wasn't going to work so there are rumors of her going to GH (General Hospital).
I am hoping she will come back to Y&R and they don't recast Phyllis role.
She was fighting with Sharon and fell down the stairs and now she's in a coma. She's in a hospital somewhere.

All I know she is still in a coma in Georgia. I will be glad when she wakes up I miss her.
