Whatever happened to that Kony 2012 thing?

When I first watched it I got upset. Then I talked to people that were from Uganda and Kenya. I totaly got a diffent story. He was using the children soldiers to attack the Taliban (not because this was moral thing, but they were in his trurf). This outrage was 6 years too late...

I think what happened is that a lot of people cross checked the story like yourself and quickly jumped off the band wagon.

People think that by sharing a video on Facbook, they ate changing the world. They don't want to actually do anything about it beyond that. And the people making the video just want money. To all the people out there: you are not an activist because you shared a video and bought a t-shirt.

It's called a fad.

They come and go.

Fads are why so many men like 'My Little Pony', or calling George Zimmerman a murderer. It's all fads.

Just weak minded people hopping on the band wagon.

It was a huge thing until TMZ caught the co-founder of invisible children, Jason Russell, masturbating in public.

It kind of lost some steam when the maker was arrested on pedophile charges.

The video left a LOT of important facts out.... Like how Kony hasn't been in power for six power for six years and how the Uganda government used children as soldiers to find Kony. Lets not forget how about 70% of the proceeds are used to fund future Kony 2012 videos and other things non-related to the supposed primary goal.

If anything, this video shows how ill informed people are about world history.
