he was fed up by the other criminals that also wore hoods in his neighborhood. his mistake was to pursues him as result he he put himself into a position to get bashed on the side walk and leaving only to shoot him in self defense. he ended up on the news because he was white and trayvon was black for some ones agenda. the other story that happen also was a young girl that got caught in the cross fire the media didn't report that because she wasn't black.
He wasn't talking to a 911 operator, but on a non-emergency police number, to start with.
When Zimmerman said that the suspicious person was going away, the dispatcher asked whether he could see where the person went. Zimmerman got out of the car to get a better view and followed a little. Then the dispatcher said "Are you following him?" and Z said "Yeah" and the dispatcher said "We don't need you to do that." and Z said, "Okay" and stopped following. So he did not disregard the advice.
He had told the dispatcher that the suspicious person was heading toward the other gate of the community, and might get away. So apparently Z thought he was gone. So he talked some more with the dispatcher and asked for an officer to come out. He didn't immediately get back into the car, probably because he thought the person had gone away, as would be normal for a person who was up to no good who had been seen. They don't usually double back to attack the person who saw them.

Once again the MYTH that will not die... The conversation about Zimmerman not needing to follow Trayvon Martin didn't happen until AFTER Zimmerman was already out of his truck and following him... At which point Zimmerman told the dispatcher "OK" and turned around to head back to his truck... which is when Martin attacked him.
Zimmerman felt it necessary to get out of the truck, BTW, because Martin was not staying on the sidewalk along the street so he couldn't tell where he was going from the vehicle.
He was protecting his neighborhood. Black gang members had been infiltrating and breaking into apts and cars. Trayvon is black and was wearing a hoodie. BTW - you don't have to listen to the 911 Operator. They tell you not to follow others in order to protect you from bad people. He followed Trayvon because he felt the kid was up to no good. Trayvon started beating on Zimmerman to prove he was no good. Trayvon was killed in self defense.
He had called police about suspicious people in the neighborhood on several previous occasions. Each time the police had been unable to locate the individuals by the time they arrived. Zimmerman followed Martin so that the police would be able to locate him and question him about his activity.
According to Zimmerman, he got out of the car and walked in the same direction to see the name of the street to phone it in.
911 Operators have no authority and are not at the seen. They can get you Killed !. How dumb are some of these People Or Sheeple would be more fitting. He was being Pro Active instead of reactive like most Sheeple are. Took out the trash probably saved somebody's life in the future from Treeboon.
Because Zimmerman was a superhero fighting super evil crime!
....And disregard the advice of the 911 Operator?
