first he seemed like the Doctor, more alien, unlike the far to human that Tennant was. He even though he was young was able to seem like an cranky old man or be childlike and he was eccentric. He was alot like Partick Troughton. He made me want to watch the show again, been watching for 34 years almost stopped with Tennant(it is not his fault)the 10th Doctor was written like a teen age soap opera character, not the ancient alien grandfather that the Doctor is suppose to be
Matt Smith did an incredible job playing the 11th doctor. His interpretation of the doctor stood out to many people because of how well he played the doctor. He is a very talented actor. He just made you love him when he played the 11th doctor. The 11th Doctor was energetic and happy all of the time. Yet he still had a dark sad side to him. He was very philosophical and deep at times. And at other times he was funny and dorky. The 11th doctor had a good balance to him and Matt Smith was able to work out that balance. Matt Smith was able to win me over in his first episode. I was mad about David Tennant leaving but Matt Smith really blew me away in his first episode. The 11th doctor has a certain innocence and kindness to him that makes you want to protect him and love him. He has been through so much but yet he can still manage to smile and laugh. He was like a child that never grew up. I personally loved him because of that.
He was the 3rd best Doctor. (1) Jon Pertwee (no. 3), (2) David Tennant (no. 10), (3) Matt Smith (no. 11)
he wasn't a good doctor
Why was Matt Smith so popular as his role as BBC's Doctor Who?
