While I agree, that the Dexter ending was strange, that shouldn't take away from the show as a whole. As an entire series, I enjoyed it to the max. Sure it had its ups and downs, but what tv show doesn't?
Season 6 took forever for me to watch, and then season 7 and season 8 went by like a breeze.
You should finish because you already invested all that time watching the other seasons, so what's another 2? I say go for it! Ps, the ending was not the writers fault, it was Showtime :)
Well there's nothing too great with Season 6 except for the season finale. Season 7 was actually really good, and it ended up being one of my favorites. The final season wasn't too great though, although it did have its moments.
If you are going to skip anything, I'd say just avoid the final season. Season 7 is definitely worth watching.
As a big "Dexter" fan, who absolutely loved the show, I would strongly suggest that you not watch the remaining seasons.
If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have watched them. And I'm sorry I did.
The show had the worst ending in the history of television. The writers really dropped the ball, and insulted the show's fans. It was almost enough to ruin one's memory of the show's first four great seasons.
It's a steady decline, from season 5 on, as the quality of the show slowly goes down the drain, until it climaxes in that disastrous 8th season finale.
Unless you're a masochist, do yourself a big favor and stop now. Keep the good memories of the early seasons, and skip the show's unfortunate decline.
Although the best seasons are at the beginning, it's still worth it to finish the series!
Season 6 is terrible but the very ending is super exciting! I would recommend finishing the series so you don't have to think about what happened or whatever :) I loved Dexter but beware the last episode sucked ????. Answer mine?

i'm about halfway through season 6 and im not sure if its even worth it to finish the series all the way through to season 8.
