it's unlikely.
amon keeps saying that he hates all the benders, they made his life difficult, killed his parents, burned his face, yada yada yada. i don't think he's lying, plus if he's such a powerful water bender (and blood bender on top of that), why not just use his abilities to gain power - like he's apparently doing now. also it would be too convenient to have the new villain tarrok as the infamous amon, if that makes any sense!
i like them both. most people like the original show better and with good reason, but i think the legend of korra deserves a chance. so let's give it the benefit of the doubt and wait to see what happens in next episodes.
There's been some discussions about who the identity of Amon is
Amon could be related to Tarlock but i dont believe that it could be him because Amon HATES benders and Tarlock is a water and blood bender!
I guess its possible, they would be about the same age and stature, but I think its more likely that they are just allies, because it would be next to impossible to be fighting on both sides (benders and nonbenders). But, have you noticed that Amon and Tarrlok have never been in the same scene? And Tarrlok was there when Korra challenged Amon.
I think he is!! i mean why else would be be so cruel to the avatar ? :P lol
and i liked avatar the last airbender better. i think the legend of korra is alil too cheesy and like modern day cartoons and drama drama drama boys romance blah blah blah and she already knows 3 out of the 4 elements! i liked on the old avatar how he only knew one element and we got to go on the journies with him to learn all the other elements and how the seasons and shows led up to that one big final moment of him defeating lord whats his face. in Korra its like epasode three and already theres a big problem with a powerful guy and korra is out to get him. thats like watching avatar and getting to epasode 3 and hes got all the bending and is going after lord whats his face.
it just isnt as good as the last airbender :(
