The mother died and old Ted ended up with Robin and the kids were okay with this.
I haven't seen it yet but well Barney and Robin get married. After a few years Barney goes back to his womanizing ways so they divorce. Barney has a daughter from a one night stand and that little girl is the love of his life. You find out that "the mother" died after some years of marriage with Ted. His children tell him that you can tell Ted has feelings for Aunt Robin so to give it a shot with her. In the end Ted goes to Robin to ask her out.

Just tell me the last few minutes, I missed 2 seasons and I don't want to catch up because season 6 and 7 are really boring i've seen a few episodes
