You can't expect anyone to get you up to date over 3 seasons. Just watch the damn thing, one of the best tv series in my opinion.
I have watched al of the seasons on Cucirca.com! Just search game of thrones and it'll take you there :) You can even get there if you just type into google, "cucirca game of thrones" and you can start watching from the beginning :) It is SO complex there would be way too much to explain...just watch! You won't regret it! Incredible show :)

In answer to your questions, however,
1. Reek is really Theon Greyjoy, the son and heir of Balon Greyjoy, who is lord of the Iron Islands, a set of islands off the western coast of Westeros. Their culture is sort of like the stereotype of how Vikings were. About a decade ago, Balon had tried to gain independence and declared himself King of the Iron Islands. He was defeated and Theon was taken as a hostage to live with the Starks, who rule the North. In season two, Robb Stark, who had gone off to war in the south, sent Theon to the Iron Islands to make an alliance with his father. But when Theon arrives he finds that Balon is about to use the confusion of war to try and make himself king again and that he plans to invade the Stark lands of The North. Theon sides with his father against Robb Stark, and, in order to gain glory for himself and prove himself a badass, conducts a daring commando raid which captures the lightly defended Stark castle of Winterfell. However, at the end of the second season, Theon is captured by Ramsay Snow, the bastard son of one of Robb Stark's lords, and spends most of season three being tortured.
2. The people coming to rescue Theon are a group from the Iron Islands, led by his sister Yara.
Theon aka reek is prince of the iron islands when he was young his father attempted to oppose the north an tried to take winter fell. When his father lost to the north his son theon (child at this point) was taken as sort of a living monument to his failure. . Fast forward theon grew up and tried to go back to the iron islands. When he returned his father considered him a traitor because he did not raise him. To prove that he belongs he goes to take winterfell succeeds kills many an is eventually captured by a sadistic bastard who tortured him to insanity aka cut off his "junk" an much more.The person attempting to rescue him is his sister.
Basically haven't watched season the previous seasons because I cant find them for free and I refuse to pay for them but anyway heres my question(s)
