Game of Thrones (TV series)?

I felt this way when I was watching the Red Wedding because I really loved Robb Stark. I cried a couple of tears (I was too shocked to cry much).

As for poor Oberyn's BRUTAL death, I didn't cry but I could feel my heart beating too fast and I felt on the verge of heart attack (and I'm too young for that!)

But it wasn't predictable for me and that's what made it much more surprising and devastating. I really thought he might be able to avenge his sister.

Of course they care. He was a prince. But I hear from the readers that as of now, no one has been able to avenge Elia AND Oberyn! :(

I don't think that this is really a spoiler to say. But, yeah a beloved prince was killed and there was a confession from the mountain that he raped the princess of dorne. So, yes there are going to be consequences for his death. Dorne is not going to be happy.

Rule no.1 in Game of Thrones: "Don’t get attached to characters!"

I learned in season one to expect the unexpected. I'm still not over Ned Stark dying.

I wouldn't call the series predictable at all. With two episodes left for this season and easy ending to Tryion's pickle wasn't going to happen. Each week something unexpected happens. That's why I love the show. I was more upset with Daenyrs cutting Jorah Mormont loose than Oberyn dying.

I know I am going to start reading the books now!

I agree with Pimento Joseph, "don't get attached to the characters". If they kill off Tyrion or Arya I am gone, though.

I am still in shock that Oberyn is dead. I mean i knew it was going to happen because this television series is really predictable lately, but I'm still in utter shock. I have never been so invested in a short lived character nor any character this much in my life. I cried when i watched him die, I cried a little the next day, and today i am still devastated. Is this normal? What was your reaction? I think it's mostly because he wanted vengeance and yes technically he got it but still, it didn't satisfy me considering he had to die to get it. Without spoiling the books (I plan on reading them), does Oberyn's death have any effect on Westeros? Or is he dead and no one cares. Please don't spoil. Really love this show lol.
