Well not quite all out war but following the bombing of 2 US Embassies in Africa in Dar es Salaam and Nairobi
Clinton ordered the missile strike of two locations.
One Sudan & the other Afghanistan.

Is it too obvious to think there's more to what we were told when barely 2 years later & the US attack Afghanistan to punish the Taliban widely believed to be behind 9/11.

The scenario has occurred several times in the past. Churchill allowed Coventry to be bombed to prevent the Germans from knowing the allies had the cracked the "Enigma" code machine. The Americans cracked the Japanese codes and FDRoosevelt had information two days before the attack and could have warned the commanders of the Pacific Fleet. He allowed the Japanese to bomb Pearl Harbor to get the American public stirred up enough to enter WWII. Its called, "letting the tail wag the dog". Bush wanted to get Hussein's WMD's and needed an excuse to attack backed by the American public.
I dont think it was a conspiracy,
there is no reason to stage something of that magnitude to justify going to war against a certain group\s or nations, it can be done by far less complicated means,
without going into the whole conspiracy theories on 9\11, this is the first factual logic that should stop you dead in your tracks from even trying to go into finding conspiracies, simply because its not needed to invoke the theorized outcome or goal of the conspiracy (going to war).
a lot of people talk about the reason being going to war over oil, but what control or added benefit in revenue or oil was made since the war began? no one is even asking this question, because the answer is none, if at all, USA is losing money over this rather than gaining, in funds and in oil expenditure, so how come oil was the reason if its not being utilized?
too many logical facts easily suggest that 9\11 was not a conspiracy,
i am not sure about what was KNOWN or UNKNOWN to the US' gov, but it was NOT planned and executed by them or any of their allies as part of a conspiracy.
If 9/11 was an inside job it would have required the explicit cooperation of 1000s of people throughout the federal and local New York City government - including those in the police and fire departments.
And despite the horrendous toll of 9/11, not one of these people has had a change of heart or conscience - despite knowingly murdering their coworkers. No one's tried to publish a book or give the interview of the century. There's also been no lost or leaked memos or documents or recordings or anything.
In fact, the ONLY evidence the conspiracy theorists still provide are the fuzzy freeze frames from TV broadcasts from over a decade ago.
More than one person was involved. By definition that makes it a conspiracy. But that is not what you are asking. You should have phrased this as "do you think 9/11 was an inside job?" That question has been asked here more than 4,200 times so you could just as easily type it in the Search Answers function above rather than spin more wheels asking it again.
