It is regarded as weather and is caused by a more southerly jet stream. I'm sure you remember the 'polar vortex' last winter?

IT is related to temperature differences between the equator and the poles. As the poles are warming faster than the equator due to increases in greenhouse gases the jet stream is expected to weaken and meander more, related to their interaction with Rosby waves.

Scientists have been telling us for a long time that global warming will bring more extreme weather events, both highs and lows.

It's NOT going to get Down to 35 Degrees... But it COULD be related to Global Warming- due to the Increasing Variably that such an Event will incur on Our Weather Patterns... :(
